!. Quiet, Orderly. Singing the Hymns set out in the hand-out. Well-Reasoned sermon with lots of Documentation, thought-provoking, but not exciting. Medium social contact between members--but anyone can call anyone, at any time.
2.Modern with a Rock Band and a "hip" happy sermon. Think of Joel Osteen--he's huge, but his "sermons" are more self-help lectures with very few actual scriptural quotes--very happy, lots of social interaction among members. Lots of extras--Youth Groups, Sports Teams, extra classes etc...
3. A combination of the two, heavy interaction, lots of extras and Sermons that aren't always telling us that everything will be perfect if we just believe.
Disclaimer: No put-down of Joel Osteen is meant or should be Implied.

Sorry, not trying to cut out non-Christians. I was asking a question based on my own experience. If you are non-Christian and would like to weigh in, feel free.

I like number three. I like music in my worship. I like to really get into the singing and praise, but I like the Word. I don't want light, feel good sermons all the time. Sometimes the Holy Spirit needs to step on my toes and make me feel uncomfortable to change areas in my life. I want to hear the truth and sometimes it needs to be raw to get the point across, ya know?

None of the above. I prefer the traditional Orthodox service, which is thought provoking, orderly AND exciting.
The Orthodox liturgy centers around communion, not the "preacher's message". Each Sunday, there is a different liturgy, and the choir sings hymns from the Bible about the particular theme of the day. (for example, the Sunday of the Blind Man, The Sunday of the Prodigal Son, the Sunday of Epiphany, etc.) I have learned more about the Bible and Jesus Christ than I ever did before. We attempt to make our services exactly the way the early Christian Church had them. The services are solemn and beautiful. Our music is very traditional and beautiful. We don't have "rock concerts".
The first time I went to this church, I found myself surrounded by beautiful sights (icons, candles, robes), smells (incense) and music--an a cappella choir that I couldn't see. Turns out they were in the choir loft behind me, but when I first came in, it sounded as though angels were singing from heaven. The liturgy of the Orthodox Church is the most beautiful and meaningful there is. People have described it as "Heaven on earth."

Theh only thing about Joel Osteen that bothers me is that he sells tickets to hear him preach. His sermons are very inspiring, but the word of God is free to anyone who is willing to accept it from your heart, and not ment for resale on national TV. Not putting down Joel either, but I did get a little dishartened when I found about his selling of tickets to His sermons, which are actually God's word from the KJV Bible.
I believe that services should start with music and singing to open up the hearts of people and become spiritually lifted up and ready yourself to hear God's word. God loves to be praised with songs and music. There are a good many songs that have God's messages in them as well.
Then the truth being taught from the KJV Bible comes next, followed by the invitation to anyone who is in need of prayer or wants to invite Jesus into their hearts and lives. Praise the Lord!

I llke all kinds of services. Usually we have a Sunday where our praise band leads the song service. On the 5rh Sunday of any month the youth lead the song service and sing a special song.
Communion services are very special on Maundy Thursday and other times throughout the year.
My favorite service will be tomorrow where we have praise time to thank God for healings and answered prayers etc.

I like to hear the word of God being preached. I like to see people having a good time in church. I like the feeling I get when I'm in God's presence.

I desire a known provider, even nevertheless I at the instant attend a greater modern-day church. i in my view dislike modern-day compliment and worshi[p music. i'll be shifting in a pair of month, and while i % a clean church i'll in basic terms be staring at ones with a known provider.

I'd have to say #1 mostly because that is what my church is like except we have a lot of social interaction.
