i mean how do you know if a bird is carrying eggs

birds don't get "pregnant" they lay eggs so they can become "gravid" meaning they are carrying an egg and are about to lay it.

Birds don't carry an egg they lay it.Once the female releases the egg from the ovary it generally takes about 24 hours before she lays it.So it is safe to say you will know it when she lays it.

When one of my falcons is due to lay an egg (birds only lay one egg at a time) she usually looks sick and ill like she's going to die. lays an egg and then feels rather releaved and happy again. but think about it. if you were about to pass something roughly the same size of your own head, you'd feel a bit off colour too.

If it is a parakeet, the bird will start to be grumpy,and it wont move around as much.Above its beak it must NOT be blue or purple,it should be anywhere from brown to light pink.it will also get a bit fatter.

A bird pregnant? please !!! birds don't get pregnant. They lay eggs and then sit on them for 21 days and then they have chicks...that's it. Does this answer your question. I hope so.
