what are some good ab exercises that you see results without usuing equipment???? also for the thighs

First, you may want to consult your physician just in case you have any special considerations.

I swear by oblique, reverse, regular, and double crunches for the abs. Stretching is really important, too - yoga & pilates both use poses that require strength and stamina to hold. You may be surprised. I think I got the best results when I combined crunches with standing side work. Oh, which reminds me, always BREATHE.

As far as thighs, it's tough to beat squats and lunges. I find them extremely effective.

Now that it's nicer outside, I also walk hilly terrain for about an hour, and I like to pull out the mountain bike. Both are good cardiovascular workouts and are great for the legs (and abs), too.

I guess that's the key. I'm no fitness expert, but I've heard that the best results come when you combine cardiovascular work with strength training (and, of course, smart eating). And that's certainly the only way I've achieved noticeable results.
