How about if we regard the evolution is the god"s way of making living things grow and develop?

or

if we regard the story of adam and eve as the symbolic one to explain human"s destiny who lost the heaven and must find his own way of living?

so actually we dont have to cling to adam and eve as our ancestor?

I just express my view you dont have to be hostile to me or scornful .

dont forget freedom of speech.

I am not chrstian , not atheist either.I am just spiritual person, if may I.

Yes, when one throws out the dogma of the religion, and realizes that they are symbolic metaphors of the problems of life, then one doesn't need to struggle and deny the sciences that have brought us so much in life.

Blessed Be...

Sorry buddy. There is no way you can even compare the bible to evolution. Not even symbolically. As an Atheist, I find the bible insulting and want no part of it. I'm also quite certain that Christians, ( extream Christians ) want no part of evolution. Not being hostile or scornful, just telling it like it is.
I imagine you are going to receive some hateful and belligerent answers so I salute you for having the gonads to ask the hard questions.

There is no reason why religionists cannot accept that God "supervises" or "controls" evolution... except of course their own narrow-minded bigotry and absolute hatred of anything that isn't written in that book of theirs.

Maybe Angela forgot to read the bits about Christian charity, forgiveness and turning the other cheek. Oh and the bits that say "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "judge ye not lest ye be judged". I think we've all seen a fine example of the way *some* christians operate demonstrated here.

Most of the Christian world has no problem with reconciling Evolution and Christianity. It's only the US for some odd reason. And no, evolution does not say that man came from monkeys-it says that we evolved from a common ancestor. Given that we share 96% of our genes, that makes perfect sense to me.

Here is a link to my pov on the subject of Evolution... I, personaly do not find The "Theory" of Evolution to be against The Word of God... but... some do.

I do not claim to be any kind of "expert" on the subject... I just got me own ideas about it..

I am of The True Christian Faith and I know my Salvation is assured... whether or not some one "believes" in The "Theory" or not will not effect ones Salvation one way or the other.

Well, I am atheist and I know many christians here in Europe who do manage to reconcile evolution and christianity. In doing so, they must relegate Genesis to a figurative story (which makes sense, anyone trying to take that literally is an idiot) but then I always wonder, which OTHER parts are figurative?

that's been a innovations-set of the non secular precise for some years to link evolution with atheism in an attempt to undermine the technology and forestall the final attractiveness of the concept. Many Christians wrongfully belive that attractiveness of evolution finally ends up in a "pointless" life in keeping with "random possibility" and that life is purely an "twist of destiny". None of it extremely is genuine, of direction, as evolution isn't a philosophy. Your life is what you're making of it. understanding the organic mechanisms in basic terms diminishes the excellent thing approximately life in case you're susceptible and use Biblical literalness as a crutch. Blaming it on "militant atheism" is purely an extension of this innovations-set. that's an exceedingly shallow element to declare that some propose atheists ward off others from understanding the main properly supported concept in technology. Intellectually cheating, as properly.

I see the story of Adam and Eve as metaphors and I also believe that God created evolution.

No, Christianity is not compatible with Evolution without marginalizing both Christianity and Evolution.

Evolution destroys Christianity. They cannot be compatible. Evolution eliminates adam and eve, which eliminates the need for humanity to be "redeemed", which eliminates Christ and the resurrection.

Evolution if fact. Christianity is fantasy.
