About a month ago I stepped into the shower and my back began to hurt. The pain is in the lower back above the coccyx to the left about an inch or two. I cant walk straight and feel like Im bent to one side a bit.
I really dont want to see a doctor as where I live they only speak Spanish!
Any ideas as to what it might be and how I can remedy the problem?
Its been over a month and everyday I think its getting better but by the end of the day I know its not.
Im going to start work again soon (guitar player for seasonal work) and have to do 6 gigs a week but dont know if I can.
Please help

Okay, you really should seek medical attention, but try this if you can.

Get some books, about three standard, or two hard pillows. Crouch down on the floor, your knees with your backside on the back of your legs. Roll over until the back of your head meets the pillows. Legs raised and feet on the floor and arms flat either side . You will feel a gap between your lower back and the floor. Wait fifteen minutes and the gap should close. Reverse the way you got down, to get up (roll over onto front etc. You must do this or you'll pull your back again). It's a method from the Alexander Technique.

You may have either a perforated lumbar disk, a pinched nerve, or muscle spasms. Does the pain radiate down the back of your leg, feeling hot and sharp? If it does, that's sciatica and you probably have a perforated disk, which usually only gets better with surgery. You can try to lie flat on your back for an hour at a time, three or four times a day to relieve discomfort but the only real remedy will come from your Doctor. If it's muscle spasms from just pulling a muscle (and you can do so from just the slightest awkward movement of your body), the rest also will help. Instead, though, lie down on your stomach and completely relax your lower pack and pelvis. This position will release the muscle! Try lying down for 15 minutes at a time, three or four times a day. It should go away in a few days. In between lying down, apply a heating pad to the area which will get the muscle to relax even more. If you can have someone massage the area that will help as well. You may even want to get a prefessional massage, they can work out any knots you have. As far as not walking straight, I think you're doing that because of the discomfort. I hope these suggestions bring you some relief. If not, I'd see a Doctor. Good luck.

Tylenol ONLY! I understand precisely the way you believe and expectantly it's going to paintings higher on you in view that you do not most often take soreness relievers. It does paintings and that is all my healthcare professional stated pregnant females can take.
