I have two kids. I am simple ,with a job of minimum salary. I cannot afford renting house in town. My house is nearly 2 Km away from town. Its been 12 years of my marriage. It was a love marriage. I know her since 1985. I dont know why she doesnot understand me now. The children are growong up and you know the expence for them. My house is beautiful and has all facility for a home. she is telling to stay at town and if not she will divorce me. I am worried about my childrens future. I love her very very much.Please suggest me.

I am a woman who pretty much did the same thing to my own husband. it sounds like there are some underlying reasons to her comments. No one gets a divorce over a house or location, only feelings. Don't be afraid to push answers out of her because if not, she will continue to make up excuses and there is no excuse to threaten divorce, especially if your not willing to accept the consequences. It's very difficult when children are involved, but you cannot stay together "just for the kids." It always sounds good but it actually makes it harder for your children. Just tell her the truth, you cannot afford it, plain and simple. Unfortunately, if she wants a divorce..it will just be something else causing it later down the road. Good luck!

Try looking around for places near the city. Maybe she just misses the city a lot.

she might be feeling isolated and is suffocated, obviously she can't take it anymore, as for the kids i think from experience they feel the same way, sometimes you have to go with the majority, have a family meeting and come up with a decision
