what is the english equivilant to bisquick and cilantro?

cilantro is corriander. Bisquik is a premixed flour, baking powder mix that you add water or milk to for dumplings, casseroles and quick breads.

I am from the USA but live in Spain where they do not have Bisquick and other American pre-mixed items. I had someone looking for Bisquick and what we found is that it is cake flour and baking soda and salt, premixed so you just have to add water. You can make it yourself and store it in a container. Cake flour is a special grind of flour and can be found in USA grocery stores. As far as Cilantro,,, coriander are the seeds from Cilantro which is a parsely type herb with a distintive flavor used in many cuisines. Hope that helps

cristoba is right about the Bisquick.

However, cilantro is not quite the same as coriander.
They're from the same plant but one is the fresh green leaves of the plant (that look a lot like flat-leaf parsley), and the other is the ground-up powder of the dried root (brownish).... though I've seen dried cilantro leaves in a bottle too.

Cilantro and coriander look very different though and taste very different, and are usually used in different ways.
Love them both!

In US English, cilantro is just called cilantro, and coriander called coriander. . . . though perhaps occasionally someone may call cilantro "coriander leaves" ...or call coriander "cilantro root."

The only Bisquick I know is a quick mix for making Pancakes,Biscuits and such.You just add water to the packet mix and hey presto there is your mix ready to cook
