I was just going to recommend anbesol or oralgel. You can always try taking a pain reliever like Motrin or Tylenol as well as the oral stuff.

I really feel for you. Dental pain is the worst. Try taking ibuprofen if you're not allergic (don't mix it with alcohol, either). Also, you could try warm salt-water rinses every ten minutes or so. I had an abscess a couple of weeks ago and the only way I could manage the pain at home was a regualr schedule of ibuprofen and saltwater rinses. I have also heard that exercise can sometimes relieve a toothache (bizarre, I know), although I have never tried this method. One other thing that I tried with mixed results was putting a shot of whiskey in my mouth and holding it on the side of my mouth that was in pain, then spitting it out after a few seconds. The whiskey burned like hell while it was in my mouth, but it did a pretty good job of keeping the area numb for a while. Hope this helps. Feel better.

Maybe same as you said.
Also you could take some pain killers.
Also do a warm water + salt mouth washes. Helps.

You could also go to your pharmacist and ask for an antibiotic
