I love the color combination of light blue and chocolate... it can be very hotel chic. If you have to get carpet, I would go for the beige carpet b/c chocolate carpet could end up making the room too dark and dreary, but I would personally prefer to have hardwood floors in a natural wood color, especially with pets. I think a focal wall painted in chocolate with cream curtains with a chocolate band and/or a light blue band to match your sofa would be beautiful. Be sure to add other touches of blue around the room too. Chocolate and blue together is a very bold choice, very sophisticated. Kudos for your cutting-edge design ideas.

Blue and brown have a very good look to them, especially a deeper blue. When my friends picked their carpet for their house, they told me that the carpet guy told them that lighter brownier carpets are the easiest to clean and leave the least stains. Don't ask how. It doesn't make since to me either. Thus, I'd go with the beige carpet. Beige carpet is also a good idea in case sometime in the future, you change your furniture. Beige is neutral enough to go with almost anything. Other than accenting the room with chocolate curtains and cushions, you could give the walls a sponge look using a cream as the main color and chocolate as the accent color. This way the room as a good mix of lights and darks and isn't overwhelmingly one color. Good luck decorating.

buy test pots and paint on a wall where you can move the sofa to so you can check - this can be a really smart contrast but could also fail miserably. If you have pets maybe laminate flooring would be a better option and then use a neutral colour on 3 walls then chocolate on your main wall with a contrasting pale blue stripe along it. Maybe buy some cushions with these colours in them first to get the shade right. Good luck

the beige carpet with the hint of chocolate in the curtains and pillow cushions would look really nice. If you have pets just make sure you get a rug that can at least be spot cleaned.... don't get flokati or something fancy just like a burber type they are easier to clean. Brown rug would be over-doin it and tacky

I'd go for the beige with a hint of brown, it sounds nice, don't think chocolate and blue would go.

it depends on what shade of blue if its duck egg blue thats fine but remember not to over do the brown its a dark colour perhaps go with the blue on the wall and have blue and brown accesoires. as for the carpet with you having pets go with a darker colour. i have cream walls one duck egg blue wall and 3 convasses on a cream wall with brown blue and cream on. i had chocolate brown wall last time and although its nice it was too dark.
hope ive helped

Beige is a great color carpet with pets. Our new puppy has had many accidents on our beige carpet and it's tough to tell. I think blue and brown look great together. Stock up on carpet cleaning supplies!

oh, and beige carpets show up every speck of dirt, but they seem to hide pet hair quite well! weve got 4 dogs and 4 cats...

I think it sounds nice. Anything but blue for the carpet. I had an ice blue carpet and a very throw-uppy cat that did not mix. Any natural color for the carpet would be better with pets.
