If you are still scared, you are not emotionally ready to have sex. It's different with every person. You do not have to have sex to keep a boyfriend, that is just lust. As far as hurting, the physical pain is not as bad as stepping into something your are not ready for, the emotional damage can affect any future trust issues. Best bet, got all the information you need to make a decision, the act itself, safe sex, birth control. Do you have an older woman, such as your mother or aunt you can question? If you are scared of "doing it" then you shouldn't yet. Espeically if you still call sex "it".
But to answer your question, it depends.
If you are very "horny" and relaxed, no it doesn't hurt much, you might be a little sore though.
If he is a virgin too, then don't worry about it... it will be over before he is even all the way "inside" anyways!

There is a time, and a place for everything. It's alright to be frightened. Yes, there is some momentary discomfort involved. Keep this in mind though; you need to be more than physically prepared. Keep in mind the mental, and the emotional aspects as well. Remember, there is only one first time. If you won't be discouraged then at least be careful, and responsible.

Hopefully you won't make the same mistake that I did, and will wait until you are married. The first time is a very special time, and if your partner takes time and helps you to relax before penetration it will hurt some, but at the same time it will also feel good. the thing to remember is to have plenty of foreplay for you to be well lubricated and to relax. Don't tense up, 'cause that can cause it to be more painful.

For some people it hurts and for others it doesn't. For me it hurt like hell. The next day i couldn't walk and it burned whenever i went pee. How old are you? If your young then don't do it. Wait and make sure he's the right person. I think it would be better having sex for the first time with someone who is experienced.

FIrst of all r u ready to have sex? Honestly it hurts in the beginning cause' it's the 1st time that something is going in there so it opens up, but just try to relax or else it will hurt, relax and it will feel good after, trust me!

May be its not a great idea of loosing your virginity to a different person other than your husband. To tell you it hurts and its a different feeling if you gave to the right person. Wait for that day it is worth it.

Yes it is very painful, some people even bleed. But I hope you will be responsible and wrap it up. Sex is also very emotional for most women, so make sure it is with the right person, because once it's gone you'll never get it back, and then you will regret who it's with. Yes. And you will bleed for awhile afterwards. Please God don't let this be either one of my daugters who are not ready for that! I hope you do not give in to any kind of pressure you may feel about "doing it" I have had a friend who felt pressure from our other friends because they "did it" but I tried to tell her to do it when she was ready. I myself, fell for the pressure from my boyfriend of 2 years(many moons ago) But I have regretted it ever since! I realized that I let a horny idiot talk me into throwing away the most precious thing I have of myself.
