1. sure about the person, make sure they want to have sex for the same reasons you do. and be sure they love you, and that you love them back. (not saying you don't.) :)

2. physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally ready.

3. i would recommend you be older than 17. make sure you use protection properly, see a gyno afterwards to make sure everything went okay and get a physical. (that' s what i'd do anyway.)

4. make sure you and your partner have no stds.
(sexually transmitted diseases.)

I just want to stress that sex isn't a joke, and it could result in a baby. Personally, I think that's the only reason anyone should have sex, if they want a baby.

Don't be pressured into sex. Your body's your temple.

Call me a prude, but sex is sex is sex, it can get dangerous.

There will never be a perfect age to say, "I'm old enough to have sex." But to makes things simple, I would say 18. In a relationship? Wait 2 years or until you're married. It really upsets me to see all these pregnant teens and children having sex. They don't realize how much of their childhood they'll be losing. Not to be sick or anything, but I don't think the boys are exactly full grown yet to be putting it anywhere or spreading any seeds. Whoever this question applies to, they should wait and enjoy their life. Sex isn't going anywhere. Really really really really think about it.

Definitely not in your teens. Teenagers are too young and immature. Wait till you are truly ready to make love to the man/woman you truly love when you are an adult.

Many teens think they found their true love and make the wrong choices and in the end, the couple isn't together anymore, and who knows what may have come out of that relationship, a child maybe. Just wait till the right person comes along after your 18 years old.

well a lot of people at my school have done it already (ages 14 and 15) im 15 and i havent done it yet bcuz i personally think that is too young to have sex. but i think peopl should do it when they are 16 or 17 but mostly 17 bcuz u are more mature then and have more knowledge about the possible outcomes of having sex.

You should definitely be old enough to not have to depend on someone else for financial support, and be ready to have a family. But since that isn't even realistic anymore, I think at least 21.
