Both front and rear door speakers are 6.5-6.75" size, I love listening to loud music like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, and other heavy metal. I don't want component speakers but need advice on my best choice for 3-Way or 4-Way speakers and where to buy them. All opinions appreciated, and thank you!

I just wanted to also add I do plan on replacing the factory head unit with either a Pioneer or Sony head unit. I'm looking for all around best reproduction of sound, clarity, crankability, with some smooth bass; something that would really reproduce the drumbeats very well. I am not looking to add any additional subwoofer, just replace the speakers, and maybe add a amp if absolutely needed. So with that being said, any suggestions will be helpful, for either 2-way, 3-Way, or 4-Way door speakers, or a combination of both, I also have tweeters in the doors, and unsure what to replace those with in my system set up.

If you are looking for loud music, don't just buy new speakers. After market speakers are much less sensitive than stock speakers, and as a result will probably not do very well off of the little power a stock stereo gives them. Will you notice a difference in quality? Maybe a little bit, but not anything worth spending your money on.

I would suggest that if your looking to upgrade the sound, get a 100+ watt RMS 2 channel amplifier to go along with your new speakers. If you want co-axials, I suggest the Pioneer REV series. They are 2-way drivers, but virtually all 3 or 4 way co-axials are gimmicks.

If you replace factory speakers with 2-ways or better, don't use your tweeters in the doors. This will cause HUGE cancellation and soundstage issues -you said SQ is a factor. If your door speakers have tweeters, the other's a screwing with cross-over points and that's the end of good soundstaging.
For decent priced gear, consider Lightning Audio, manufactured by RockfordFosgate (yes, really) are Very good for the dollar. I have heard the 6x9's and 12's. I was Very impressed! The 6x9's were getting 100wrms (rms, now), and the 12's were getting 350wrms. They sounded very clear and got very loud!
For $35 a pair (6x9's) and $40 each (12's), at WalMart, you really can't beat it!
Yes, they are really made by RF.
Also, DO NOT DO Pioneer for HU. 75% of all Pioneers, Premiers, have bad grounding planes. Meaning, they all have noticable distortion. Ask anyone whos had 'em.
Good Luck!

Step away from the 4-ways!

If you limit yourself to 3-way and 4-way speakers you will miss out on many of the high-quality speakers out there, and you'll be stuck with the speaker makers who put marketing ahead of quality. It's not necessary to use 3 or 4 drivers to cover all the sound range a 6.5" speaker should cover; some of the manufacturers who make these are just trying to sell speakers to the people who assume more is better. Don't be that guy!

Here's some decent quality low to mid-priced 6.5" two-ways:

verify your insurance insurance, you have towing insurance. i might have a Tow Truck do it. some blocks is one ingredient yet 4 hours at a tow speed could be 7 hours and that would truthfully wipe out the KIA and then it would want a Tow Truck.
