What "denomination" has little to do with who goes to heaven
There is only One Church
All who come to God in The way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith... Only Those of The Church will enter Heaven.
A lot of folks in a lot of "denominations" are going to be very suprised to find themselves still sitting here when Christ Calls The Church to Him at The Rapture.
feel free to email me if you have any question concerning the basics

It depends on what your definition of "huge" is. It's obvious that the differences are large enough for people to go to different churches, and those big buildings cost money.
But I could certainly tell a difference between a Pentecostal and a Baptist church. Pentecostals believe in the so called "gifts" of the spirit like speaking in tongues, healing, receiving direct messages from God; whereas most Baptists think that those things were stopped a couple of thousand years ago..

There are huge differences between denominations, some of them on key doctrines like salvation, for example.
The two denominations you mention - Baptists and Pentecostals - are substantially different when it comes to the work of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. So much so, that usually Baptists and Pentecostals cannot and don't worship together...

Well....there are 30,000 Christian denominations for a reason.....none of them agree! Talk about pride!
There are even differences between the various Baptist churches: Southern Baptists, American Baptists....I count 26 of them here...ALL Baptists!!!
http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Denominations/Baptist/Baptist_Groups/desc.html
Now you know why Protestantism doesn't work...everyone insists on doing their own thing!!!!! And, no, not all Pentecostals agree with each other either...otherwise they'd all be in the same group: Assembly of God or Church of Christ or Church of Christ of Prophecy, etc. But Jesus prayed that all may be ONE....not all splintered unto 30,000! Talk about unbiblical!!!!!

You don't see a difference? Interesting, I wasn't aware of Baptists being open to such expressions of worship, let alone the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the Pentecostals are known for.
My recommendation is to read history. How did the first Christians live, believe and practice their faith? Particularly before the Canon of the Bible was established in the end of the 4th century.

There are substantial differences. I was raised pentecostal as well, and a babtist lady once told me that baptist believe once your saved you are always saved, and you do not have to renew your dedication to the Lord or ask for forgiveness again.

there are such lots of information to this; i'm going to flow with the fundamentals on the few that i comprehend Catholics: have saints, have faith in purgatory, flow to confession, and have different prayers they say for redemption, plus there is adjustments interior the service (some are stated completely in Latin, they're regularly longer then protestant church homes and extra uptight/severe). Protestants: no purgatory, no confessions, in basic terms make an apology via Jesus, no saints, etc. Latter Day Saints (those are what my pal informed me from her church): no rated R movies, no caffeine/ingesting, no relationship till sixteen, i do no longer think of girls could be head of church, there grew to become into something approximately redemption after dying, yet i do no longer keep in mind the substantial factors on that. Jehovah's Witnesses: regularly do no longer prepare/have faith in holiday journeys Baptists: have faith you will possibly desire to be baptized as an grownup, regularly have extra music and compliment in centers Evangelicals: church homes i've got been to are those the place the preachers are very exuberant (turning crimson interior the face, shouting, human beings speaking in tongues, etc.), so a techniques as ideals flow i do no longer likely comprehend of any quirks. With maximum protestants sects. that's somewhat purely how they % to worship that makes them different.

Most "Christian" denominations differ only little one from another, either doctrinally or in practice. Though they claim to get their doctrines from the Bible, most of them come from the Catholic Church. That's what makes them denominations; they are variations of their mother church.
The true Church of God, however, is not a denomination. It does not derive its doctrines from the Catholic Church, but from Jesus Christ. It differs from denominations of the Catholic Church in that it obeys God, rather than the philosophies and doctrines of men, and seeks to be perfect in obedience and love, keeping the commandments of God and the testimony and faith of Jesus Christ.

Those who lean unto there own understanding of scripture are leading others astray and blinded by their "pride!" But this has to occur for the Kingdom of God is coming to this earth and establish His way as the only way.
Pride is man's downfall. The End of the circle of man's self rule will be the beginning of Christ's Kingdom but that "pride" must be broken first!

I recommend you go to the roots of the Bible, and figure out which religion/church fits EXACTLY what the Bible teaches. Find a church that is not missing anything from the Bible, that doesn't corrupt the bible and takes the Bible very literally. there, you will find the correct religion and the one God wants us to be a part of!
