There is a girl who I am interested in who I work with, and I often see her making glances at me when I walk by. I really want to talk to her so I can get to know her but it would be awkward if I just randomly walked up to her and said, "Hi my name is..." Basically, we have both been working at this place for a while now and it would be strange to introduce myself to her now and not earlier when she first started working (I am pretty shy around people I don't know, and I usually wait for people to approach me instead of the other way around). So, what would be the best way of talking to her without it being really weird/awkward?

The best way to go about this is to be bold about it. If you are interested in her, what harm in letting her know. Next time you catch her eye, throw her a cheeky grin and a wink. This will flatter her, will portray you as being self-confident (the number one thing that leads to success with girls, I promise you. look at all those assholes with all the gorgeous chicks who have nothing to recommend them but their big head), and will also make it not seem so out of the blue when you do talk to her. After she knows you are interested, with a few of those winks, do just go up, introduce yourself, and, keeping the persona of self-confidence (no stammering, blushing, thinking you aren't good enough etc), just ask something commonplace. Perhaps a little teasing. And just build it up from there. After a few episodes of banter, she will be wondering why you are so slow at making your move.

Just go up to her (when she's alone, if you're shy) and ask her out in a sincere yet casual way. E.g you can say that your mum got some free tickets to a game/ ice-skating rink/ wherever you think would be a fun first date/ something related to her interests, and ask if she wants to go. Usually a movie might not be the best idea cos you wouldn't get to talk to her much. Think about an activity that both of you can enjoy together without taking up 100% of your attention and resulting in the lack of chance of chat. And yeah, if she says yes, then you go and buy the tickets. Doesn't matter if she finds out later that those tickets weren't really free. She would be touched that you made the effort and know that you like her. Pluck up the courage to make the first move or nothing will ever happen! Good luck :) Sounds like a sweet girl :)

Approach her! The best way to talk to a person is to approach them and start by saying Hi! or How are you doing? you never know if you would feel akward unless you try..who knows you may have a lot more in common with this girl than you think. It never hurts to say hi...don't be afraid or scared of rejection! Go for it!!

Go to lunch at your favorite "fast" place close by.
Tell her on Monday that on Thursday, would you like to "COME" with me to lunch, give her the details.... and then let her order first ( make suggestions of course) and before the ticket comes to the table, pick it up and tell her it was gret to visit with her, maybe we can do it again soon.

KEY IS LISTEN!!!! offer short answers.
Ask her "how" did you come to work here?
So what do you do when your not at work?
Is your family close by? Mine is in>>>>>>

Ask her a question, then when she answers say oh thank you...then stay there and say hey is your name "What ever her name is" oh yeah, I see you around the office, how long have you been working here? Just start off from there, be real about it, & most definently be confident!
