A friend of mine has 5 tattoos (wrist, lower lip, lower back, and both feet.) She said the tattoos on her feet hurt pretty bad. (Though i cant imagine the lip tattoo being too pleasant.) Anyway, shes alive and well, haha. I asked her because thats exactly where I want to get mine. My sister designed a flowery picture for me and I think it would look really cool on my foot.
Now that you've gotten yours, what do you think? Any advice for me given your new experience???

After it's done make sure you keep it well moisturized. The skin on the feet sheds a lot quicker than the rest of your body so you will need to take extra care of it. I have a toe ring tattoo on my foot and it healed unevenly :( The skin peeled on one side and now its uneven. Good luck and have fun!!

I have a tattoo on my foot, i love it a lot and always get great compliments about it. Just relax, like all tattoos it will be somewhat painful, but keep in mind how beautiful it will be and you will make it throught!

Its going to hurt a lot. Take something for pain, distract yourself. I used a topical cocaine based product to numb the pain which I got in Brazil. I never felt the pain. I have two tattoos on my foot, did not used this product the first time. It hurts.
Good Luck!

Not having one myself - i can only give general advice.
Be relaxed
Take something with you to take your mind of things (good thriller book!)
make sure your feet are clean (duh!)
And, most likely you`ll need slippers of some kind - so as not to rub over the newly decorated spot.
A painkiller might be beneficial too, but i`m not sure how you`d react to them, so i`m hesitant to advise those.

yes it's gonna hurt..but i love tattoos on the foot, not many places here will do them, once it's outlined the shading is nothing , you get numb to the pain...the one on my back took over 3 hrs!! just make sure it's not something you'll hate in a few months!! from what i've heard they are actually more painful to remove!

I got a lady bug tattooed on my toe and it hurts but it looks really cute when its done. It only hurts at first after a while it just goes numb... you can always ask them to stop too so you can take a break.

They're so hot on feet! Sing itsy-bitsy spider. It'll numb eventually and don't be afraid to ask for a break. If its on a bone, it'll hurt quite a bit longer than on just skin. Good Luck!

It's gonna hurt like hell!!!! I have one on the top of my right foot and one on the side of my left..they both hurt like no other.
Other than the pain of doing it...they're great!!! No one really gets them done because of how much they hurt and, no one knows you have it unless you go bare foot...I love both of my tattoos...I hope you love yours too...Good luck...
P.S...I bit through a rope to help with mine... :)
