Look for cars that have VERY adjustable seats. Most cars/suvs are only made to be comfortable within an average height range. I love some Toyota, Isuzus, Mini, etc... but US cars tend to be bigger, look for a GM.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee isn't a bad choice as long as it's an older one (pre-1999), because they newer ones have horrible reliability and gas mileage. It's also good off-road, and the 4 Litre I-6 engine is very durable (they also used it in the Cherokee and Wrangler, as well as the old CJ and Commando), but don't expect performance of any kind (the engine was built for torque, not horsepower, which helps with towing and off-road, not high speed). Gas mileage isn't bad, but it's not stellar either. It's rated at 15 miles per gallon in the city, and 21 on the highway, for an average of 18 miles per gallon in the Grand Cherokee.

This may sound a little strange, but a good vehicle for you would be a used Geo Tracker or Suzuki Sidekick, either the 2-Door or the 4-Door, with a manual transmission.

I'm 6'2" and (at the time) 215 pounds, and didn't like the idea of buying one of these because I thought they were too small, but they've got big doors in the front, and loads of head and leg room. Hip room is a little tight (especially after driving a Ford F-150 with a bench seat), but I'm also wider than most guys my height. If you go for a 2-Door with the Softop, like I did, you can also remove the entire section of roof over your head. With the top on, I've still got around six or seven inches to spare between the top of my hat and the roof. The seat also adjusts front and back pretty far for good leg room, and the pedals are situated for a tall driver.

Also, they're reliable (according to Consumer Reports, only the Toyota 4Runner and Isuzu Trooper were more reliable at the time), and the 2-Door gets excellent gas mileage. If driven easy at highway speeds (50+ miles per hour), I've gotten as much as 32 miles per gallon with the 16-Valve 4-Cylinder on a cross-state trip, but about 27-29 miles per gallon is a little more normal, but the automatic gets much worse mileage.

Lastly, they're not too expensive. I only paid $3200 for mine, a 1996 4X4 model with a new clutch, removeable fiberglass hardtop, no rust, a nice interior, air-conditioning, lockout hubs, and only 85,000 miles on it, and that was over two years ago.

Being only 16 years old I can assume tha the car is just for your own use, no kids, strollers and all that stuff. I'm 6'5" also and drive a 2002 Saturn SL-1, no problem at all, lean the seat back and enjoy the ride. By the way can't beat almost 30 MPG. Don't need a huge, gas-guzzling vehicle just because you are a big man!!!!

If you are concerned about leg room and headroom, as well as fuel economy, check out a VW New Beetle. There is no car on the market with more front seat head and leg room. They are safe too. Stay away from the 1998 model year, as they are troublesome (the first year). I am a retired car salesperson and know what I say is true.

work on your jumper and post moves and in 2 more years some college will pay you to come there for a year then an agent will pay you to leave school early and you get your dream car so for now just get something where the seat goes back pretty far or remove the front seat and drive from the rear

I'm 6'4 and I drive an F150, lots of headroom yet. If you fit in the Jeep, then g for it, however, if you are still growing, it might end up being uncomfortable for you. I have heard of big guys buying tinlu cars, but they remove the back seat and move the drivers seat further back.

This is going to sound really stupid, but look at the Scions. Those things are tiny, but have got head room galore. If you can stand the look of them, they are awesome cars, even for a big guy like you.
