I completely agree with you. I was driving in the far left hand lane of the interstate on my way home from work one day when this idiot getting on the interstate talking on his cell phone which by the way was up against his left ear decided to cross all three lanes of traffic without looking, mostly because his cell phone and hand were blocking part of his vision. It happened so quickly that he ran me off the road, mind you I was driving a Ford Bronco 2 which doesn't act very well to running off the road and then trying to get back on the road, however with my great driving skill I was able to pull it back on the highway without further incident. Has nobody heard of hands free headsets. However, talking on the phone isn't the only problem, some believe their cars are invincible and cut you off whether on the phone or not. It seems not enough people use common courtesy on the roads anymore.

Honestly after reading some of these answers, I think a lot of them would drive better with it there!!
Your car is not an office, bathroom, dining room or Library!!! Also what is the deal with people using laptops while driving??? Driving a car is a privilege, NOT A RIGHT....that's why the ticket reads "your driving privilege has been revoked"
I don't think you need anger management classes at all... I think most of the people who answered need a refresher course on driving etiquette, courtesy in general, and to re-evaluate their lives in order to figure out some priorities. Such as: is it a good idea to use a distracting electronic device while I am on the highway during rush hour (or any other time)? My advice is to either work from home, get up earlier or manage your time better.
I should mention that I drive Jet fuel to airports, so how's this for an idea, I'll start smoking, talking on the phone, eat a sub sandwich and pay as much attention to the road as everyone else seems not to do, not yield at stops signs and blow across railroad crossings... maybe then I can be just as dangerous and inconsiderate as everyone else who thinks that not paying attention is no big deal.
Too often people forget how their actions affect others, we all entrust our lives and safety to everyone else on the road when we get behind the wheel... let's try to act like it matters, because when you think it can't or won't happen to you.... it does.

Sorry, but some of us actually have the ability to dial a phone, talk, chew gum, and play with ourselves all at the same time.
I've never had any problem while talking on my phone, except that people think that that is why I'm driving at the speed limit, but I ALWAYS drive at or below the speed limit.

You have said it! There is NO reason to be talking on a phone while driving. There is no reason to eat and drive, read the paper and drive, drink and drive, put on makeup and drive, pick one's nose and drive, brush teeth and drive, have the radio/ stereo on while driving. You do notice, that the the majority of people that are hurt or killed by these morons are the innocent people that have done no wrong.

A state trooper in California noticed a guy weaving in traffic and moved up to observe him closer. He noticed a "Hang up and DRIVE!" bumper sticker on the car. When he got closer, he saw why the guy was weaving......he was using a cordless shaver.
Guess this guy didn't really understand the concept of concentration. He got a ticket.
