I have Windows and Microsoft Xp. I think I might have accidently deleted the program that makes the sound work on my computer. What should I do? Also, when I go to Control Panel and go to Sounds and Audio Devices, it says there is no audio device.

you may diable the sound in registry. go to run, type regedit, select current user, select control panel, click sound, make sure it is yes, if not change it into yes.

you've deleted the sound drivers if your sound card is on board the motherboard you should have a disk labelled mother board drivers that came with your computer, insert the disk into you cd driver and wait until it's loaded you should see in the list the sound driver just follow the instructions to install and that should do it
if not you can try going to Microsoft updates do the update then click hardware optional link to the left

www.driveragent.com It is a free utility that ill scan your computer for the needed drivers for you hardware. It will also offer downloads on most of your drivers. It uses an ActiveX control to search your computer so don't be afraid to install it.

Good luck!

there should have came an install disk with your speakers to install drivers - if you bought the thing as a package it is sometimes on the motherboard cd. or else go to your companies speakers website and find your product and download the drivers or in rare cases windows update has them for you.

Oh, thats unfortunate. Well what you have to do is reboot your computer. (The cd's that came with your computer.) But i will restore everything, which means you will lose your files, pictures, games etc. But you will get sound back.
