I would love to get a job as a plumber/ water utilities repairman, as this is what I do for a living in the U.K. I am also able to operate backhoes, heavy trucks etc. Where in Canada would this type of job be in demand? I am willing to go anywhere! I know that it can be very tricky to get into Canada, and any potential employer has to prove they cannot employ a Canadian first. My Dad is Canadian citizen overseas, and I have yet to meet my sister( complicated ). Any help greatly appreciated!

You may be able to immigrate as a skilled worker, as well provinces who are in need of workers (ie Alberta) can nominate immigrants. If you can drive a backhoe you could get a job in the oilfields :)

Ok here's the thing first you have to apply for a visa from your country to live in Canada then you have to have all of your paper work in order, by this I mean birth certificate, pass port, shot records (maybe) and you have to prove that there is a job waiting for you and that you will be able to support yourself, you must also show that your reason for wanting to be there are for your family and that you would like to go to a new place and try something new and after you do that I think that you will be in the clear, you must also go to the embassy in your country and apply, if you get denied you then you should appeal their decision and ask them why.
