I've tried loads of software and stuff but i just can't find any software that does it!! i think it may be an online editing program ...

The software linked below is all free, and most will do what you want to do. The key here is learning how and perfecting your skills and technique.

You will want to use layers, one layer for the background, and one layer for each photo, the background should be the size of the two photo's combined, then you can crop off any excess. Adjust opacity on each layer as needed.

do you have paint? open up one of the picture and simply paste the other one next to it. make sure it is the same length though if not size it up in microsoft word first then paste it in.. alternatively... put both pictures on word and adjust them as you would like them and copy them both and paste it onto paint..
