The "Beloved Apostle", John was Jesus' best friend. The 12 apostles never wrote letters to eachother cuz they all were always together pretty much, at least during his ministry they were.

If the story of Jesus is true, then I believe Mary Madelina was Jesus' best friend. Peter and Mary didn't get along and argued all the time according to the Gospel of Mary.
