The vast majority of the Iraqi people support the Constitutional democracy and the parliament they elected.

The news media over here ignores them.

As a whole, no the Iraqi people are not terrorists. As was said, "the majority of Iraqis only want to live in peace". I completely believe that. But while some of the insurgents are foreign fighters, many *are* Iraqi. Once again, this is just a case of a group (race, ethnicity, etc) being judged by the actions of a few. The people of Iraq ARE standing up and we are seeing more and more tribal groups turning away from the insurgency. Many realize that the only way they can help stop the insurgency is to quit harboring them in their villages and towns. We have seen areas that were once strongholds for the enemy turn against the insurgents and with the help of Coalition Forces, have taken the beginning steps towards a more peaceful community. These actions however, have their consequences and they are extreme! Insurgents learn of the tribes' refusal to hide them in their villages and swifty reltailate, using intimidation to force the tribe into supporting them. Children from the town are often kidnapped, and brutally murdered, their beheaded bodies returned to the family as a warning: 'support us or the deaths will continue'. Sadly, these coercion attempts are sometimes successful and the enemy gets what they want. Yet we continue to see the tribes fighting to rid their villages of insurgents, as I said, often at a high price. The Iraqis are not bad people and are not terrorists. The insurgents, be them Iraqi, Iranian, Eqyptian or whatever nationality, are the enemy.

No there not all terroists but when you blow up there country it ticks them off. I got alot of Iraq people out here and they left Iraq to get a better life here. I always wonder if terroists are even real. Maybe there just some really ticked off people . Who got there country bombed and got there oil taken from them. And now there ticked off. Were in Iraq now we got saddam now what do we do. Are presidents taking there oil and were paying higher gas prices. Sorry to say this but is higher gas prices and dead troops really worth oil. Please don't take offense to this . I am not against war,but when it comes down to going into a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 why bother. Only true reason oil. I don't mean to piss off any hard core bush people. This is just my opinion and if you don't mind paying high gas prices then theres nothing to be mad about.

No! Those people are just normal people like you and me. I feel bad because we are criticizing them when most of them are just trying not to get killed.
