You need to go to the doctor to get some prescription cough medicine. It will be the fastest cure. Don't ignore a cough because it may turn into bronchitis and if not tended to, it may linger for a month. You might want to talk to you pharmacist too and see what over the counter he recommends, but he will probably refer you to the doctor. Get well soon.

It not good to throw-up when you cough, you need to go to the Doctor.

What I suggest you do is what I do and it works for me go to a drug store and talk to a pharmacist they will tell you about something you can purchase without a prescription. I hope you feel better soon.
