I dated this woman for 3 years while in college. I had purchased a heart shape necklace with diamonds, and a promise ring with a diamond solitaire. She threw them at me as she left, and refuses to keep them. Now that it’s been a year and a half, should I send the jewelry back to her, or trade it in for money? I don’t want to keep them anymore – what is the right thing to do!?

Sell them on eBay.

I say just trade them back in for your money. If she didn't want the jewelry back then, then don't send it now because she really doesn't want it. You will only make a fool of yourself. Either keep it for the next person, or trade it in and buy yourself something nice.

Write a best selling novel about them adding mystical power to them and keep them somewhere else so you can put the picture of them on the cover of the novel...

More realistically?

Sell them.

She made it clear that she wants neither them nor a relationship with you. You don't want them. They're valuable enough to sell.

Hell, when you get the money, throw a party with the money...

Trade it for money. She doesn't want them back, and she doesn't deserve them.
