There are a LOT of little actions that make up the word love...and it is different for each person, I know that sounds weird but you will understand when you've been in enough relationships to know what you expect from your partner...and at times it does seem like a lost cause when you date, but then again that is a decision you make for yourself...so you can only blame you for all the bad that may come in your relationship..all I can say is take your time be VERY picky and don't expect nothing but the best for yourself!!!

Alright – You say you’re young, that’s a great start. Speaking from experience – let me tell you a quick story. I am not quite 30 yet, and have dated my fair share (generous share) of women. I too have been the product of many breakups. It’s gonna happen. You need to develop a means to protect your emotional self so that you can look beyond the ‘newness’ factors in a relationship, and see the individual for who they really are inside (Beyond how he treats you, how does he treat others he meets, does he have nice friends? What kind of company does he keep… etc).
True love is a real thing, and does happen. People who say this isn’t true, haven’t found it yet (believe me, you know when you find it). I have found true love, and if it ends, your heart will truly suffer. They take a piece of you, always.
But just remember, There is always someone for us, who can make us smile, happy, empowered, driven, etc. Set a list of what you want in a guy, and while you’re waiting to find him, become secure in yourself. No guy wants a girl who will change her life to suit his needs, he wants a woman who can feel comfortable in her own skin, with her own opinions. Enjoy the dating, especially in high school and college. I found my Mrs. Right in the strangest of places (not online). So be strong, and get out there.

Dating is a learning and interviewing process.
You learn how to interact with and negotiate with the opposite sex (assuming you're straight) without getting taken advantage of. You should also be learning how to break up peacefully without causing all Hell to break loose.
Later on, dating serves as a sort of job interview where you select someone you're attracted to and then decide if you and him/her like each other enough to want to stay together and (potentially) get married and have children together.
So, people breaking up is simply one partner or both partners saying "I don't think you have what I need to be happy. I want to try someone else."

The point of dating is to see what is out there and what qualities you like in people. It helps you be able to find out what you want in a person you would want to spend the rest of your life with.

well its pointless to date in teen years cuz there will be no "love".
Love is hard to find these days cuz ppl are stupid....its true....
Love is real if you believe its real. Just wait thats all you can do. Dont EVER convince yourself that you love someone. When you love someone, you already know.....well its really hard to explain...you'll understand when your in a very good relationship near your 30s

people date because they like to be with the other person. also because of hormones. even though you usually end up breaking up, it's a good experience and it helps you to know what other people look for/see in you. plus, you never know when that perfect somebody will come along ;)
