I am pregnant with a boy and they adamently argured with me about my choice NOT to circumsize. How is that their business? I have strong feelings on the subject from working in health care and researching the subject. As my family, do they have the right to argue with me and put me in the position to defend, justify and explain myself and my parenting?

wow your family is toxic hun. noooo they do not have any authority to tell you to do anything! it's insane that they feel they can talk to you this way. wish you the best of luck. you can and should tell them they are stressing you out, and that yelling and argueing with a pregnant women is very low. good luck!

Why bother arguing with them? It's your son so your and your husband's decision. Family can have an opinion and can voice that opinion to you but that doesn't mean you have to agree with them. Just tell them "thank you, I'll think about that" whenever they bring it up. Then go with what your research and your heart are telling you.

No one has the right to tell you what to do in this circumstance. Next time they try arguing with you about it, just tell them that when they give birth, they can choose whether or not to circumcise. That should stop the argument!

Tell them that this is more fair. He can always get circumsized later if he wants it, but if he doesn't then you did the right thing.

No, it's not their business. You had your child, you carried your child, you are raising your child, you are rearing your child, you make all of the decisions for your child.......flip the question on them. Ask them how would they had felt if their parents where ordering them on what they should do with you when you were born. See what the reaction would be

opions everybody has one but if you want your kid to be ridiculed and if you did your research like you said you did then why not circumcise???
