I have had a really good male friend for about three years. I always got the impression he really liked me as more than a friend but I was living with somone at the time. I can tell him anything and confided in him when my relationship broke down. He was fully supportive and did what he could to help me, mainly listening. Now though, I am starting to feel things are changing between us. He asks me if I want a new relationship yet and keeps being a little flirtatious. He wants to know if I have found another place to live yet. He will do anything for me and I am starting to see him in a different light now. I only see him about once a month because he has a really good job that takes up a lot of his time but when I do see him we talk for ages and we laugh and joke a lot and he's always got a big smile on his face. Our friendship is becoming more fun and he tries to embarrass me in cute little ways. Am I reading the signs correctly - does he want a relationship with me?

Ok thanks to you all for answering this. I think the answer is he definately wants a relationship with me. The question now is how do I bring this up, I am nervous as hell and want to get it right without making an idiot of myself!

Sounds like hes had a torch for you for a while and trying his luckto suss you out now single and available before somone else gets in.
Only hes scared you will find out he likes you and get all upset and loopy and stop being his friend and you hate him as he cares about you and he will loose his best mate.
Solution if you like him...
you have to amke all the first moves as he wont. he thinks if he does you will suddenly see him as some evil pervert type or this was a polt to get in you panties then dump you type thing and you hate him.
he does not he really likes you by the sound of it...
if you treat him bad you will damage him.
Trust me you cant make a muppet of yourself...
he will be just life phew she likes me.
And mega relieved and happy to just be able to snuggle you at last.
You have indicated your age to be well over the age of concent...
So Id suggest things like arranging for opportunities where he can accidently (and try and resist) see you undress like accidently leave door open a little with well placed mirror as you get changed ... then later ask him if he liked the view and when he utterly panicks and denies it laugh, hug him and mention it took you an age to get the mirror angle right and it made you feel real sexy to have him check you out.
Likwise having angled body so he can see right down your top.
or something along that theme (get creative)
Or maybe getting a little drunk or pretending to...
let or suggest games get interesting... ie playing cards let him (with a little pushing) or suggest stip poker or bet your bra or winner says do looser does type rules.
or take him bikini shopping/or lungere shopping etc.
Or go to some backpacker type event where they do things like wet t shirt competitions/jelly wrestling etc and take part and get topless etc.
Let him paint you nude... or do a glamour photo shoot or let him think hes hypotised you (that could be funny)
Ie get him to start seeing you more sexually and let him know its ok... You like him looking at you that way. And get him wanting to se more of you.
asking to have lotion rubbed on back... then front.
the old comming out of the shower and te twel accidently got cuaght in the door routine
And any excuse to get touchy...or let him see more of you.
And most important letting him know its ok to look at your sexily and touch you so he relaxes and then you ask him out to the cinema etc and let him put arm around you or let him know he can if you want...
horror movies are good (you can pretend to be scared and need a cuddle)

Oh, as you know that dating thing is a mess. So I totally decided "who" I need most in my life and listed all the qualities. Here's my great idea!
So (BLANK) I was thinking about putting an ad in the personals for a date..... and decribe all the qualities you like about him (blank)....then say....sounds kinda like you huh?
Then just ask him...So what do you think about that?
If he acts confused.....the repeat the question..... So (Blank) what do you think about how I feel about you? The ad is a crazy idea, when I have the real thing in front of me.

So if it should backfire and he doesn't feel the same, then that is okay. You fall back on, Well I am so lucky to have such an incredible friend with all those qualities. Sorry you will have to watch me search for a guy to date.

Well yes he wants a relationship, and there really isn't a way to embarrass yourself because you know he likes you. Just do it...the longer you wait, the more you are going to regret it and torture yourself. You better catch him before someone else does.

u could try bringing up the fact that u are ready for a new relationship. it might be a good way to bring hint at it. I wish u luck.

you dont have to do anything --- just let what you have mature --- keep seeing him keep getting closer to each other ---- dont attach labels --- enjoy and so will he and see where it leads --- maybe in a little while you will both feel comfortable sitting down and discussing what you want from a relationship --- have fun

I don't know what your living circumstances are, but if possible invite him to dinner, and cook a nice meal, with wine etc. Take it from there.
