theres this guy. and i like him a lot. i flirt with him all the time. and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. he kinda flirts back. my friends convinced me it would be a good idea to tell him that i liked him. i did, and he said we should remain friends.
what does that mean? should i continue flirting? or should i give up all hope? [i've already got my eye on another guy, incase it doesn't work out with this one.]

when i guy tell you that most likely he doesnt not like you but he there is always that possible that things change. i would say move on to the other guy. also dont let this one time stop you from letting people know how you feel that was a very brave thing that most people cant do.

It means just what he said "lets b friends" he was trying 2 put it 2 u gently What he meant is I am not interested, thanxs but no thanxs it will not go further than flirting. Move on and chalk it up as a blessing he could have played u and pretended 2 like u, get the booty and leave. He probably did u a favor. The other guy is calling invest time n that and c where it goes.

When he said "we should be friends," it just simply means he doesnt want to be in a relationship with you. Its just a soft rejection. So dont flirt with him again if you want to get with this guy, its not going to work. You can just tell by his signs he's giving you without him telling you that he doesnt like you because you flirt with him and it doesnt bother him at all.
Go flirt around with the new guy that you have your eye on.

It means you should take his word for it and accept that he just wants to be friends. You don't even need to know why. If that's what he wants, then you can't force someone to want more. Maybe he just needs more time...that could be all that means. But until he comes to you and lets you know that he's interested in more than friendship, then you need to let it go and move on. If you're available if he changes his mind after having more time to think about it...then go for it at that time. Don't sit around and worry about it because it won't do any good. Have patience and give him space but in the mean time...continue to live your life and one day you'll see where all this leads.

If you already have your eye on another guy then your not really to concerned about this one. What this guy wants is a female friend. that's a good thing. He isn't ready to get involved with anyone just yet. he is probably thinking more of his education and what he wants to do with his life before getting involved in a relationship. There are to many girls out that that deliberately ruin a guys life by strapping them down to soon.

it means he isnt interested but dont give up..maybe he likes you more than hes letting on and doesnt want to possibly ruin the relationship you two have already. continue with the flirting and perhaps when hes flirting back just ask him would you like to kiss me? then youll know for sure! then go get the other guy lol

Hey don't be such flirt ! That makes guys turned off, when a girl is flirt enough to de that to them, guys are looking forward to girls who are serious and caring, be one of them don't be so shallow and obnoxious...

Ya my best friend told a guy she liked him, and he told her he liked her back. The next day, he called her and told her he wanted to stay friends. Men are pretty confusing. Because of this, it's possible he does like you, but if he said he wants to be friends, he either isn't interested in you "that way" or isn't ready for a relationship. I know it sucks, but you ought to respect his decision or it'll ruin the friendship. Go for the other guy- who knows- maybe this one might end up a little bit jealous... :-)

if a guy says lets be friends he doesnt like you in the same way that you like him, but he probably wants to be your friend, and as far as the flirting goes guys basically hit on most girls

It probably means he likes your personality, but not looks. I would stop flirting with him, still be friends, and look for another guy.
