I travel for business and am gone about 50% of the time, and sometimes 2 weeks straight for international trips. I feel bad leaving my girlfriend behind, but I don't have any choice. How can I make this situation better for both of us?

i know how you feel dude, i am away from my girlfriend for weeks at a time, (im in the Australian army) and sometime this year my unit will be over in Iraq, so that will be at least 12 months away from her, i think its all about communication, calling, texting, talking on msn, writing letters (personal fav), and occasionally sending each other things to remember each other by, maybe next time you are with her, leave something of yours behind, a shirt, or something she can have, i know how weird that will sound, but you would be surprised how many times you find your self just holding items that belong to your significant other, hope this helps in some way

Get it together before she leaves you. Women need love and attention. Until then, make the time you DO spend with her count. Give her something to think about while your not around. Send her flowers, e-mails, whatever you have to do, until you can change your situation...Also, dont overdo it. That can scare a woman away!

A lot of phone calls. Communication is the key! When you come home take time for special time together. Show her how much you missed her.

Change jobs or you better be doing things to constantly show her how much you appreciate her, think about her, and care about her.
