I read a great article recently in which a family took photos of their twin girls and in several photos the same eye in one twin was black.
They took her to the doctor and found she had a cancer at the back of the eye (which had been black in all the photos).
If it had not been for the photos showing this then the parents would not have taken her to the doc and in turn she would not have been treated for her cancer.
This is rare remember but if you are worried ask Dad to see his optician or GP. Often Opticians know more about eyes.
She is now doing well and has an artificial eye.

hello sweetheart first of all i would not start to panic and make your self go crazy with worry when you take pictures and people come out with red eye this simply is showing your red blood sells at the back of your head and shows on the proofs of the picture now if it comes up white this could mean its the lighting. yes it has been know if its comes out black there could be a growth on the eye or in the head but as you said it was white im sure you dont have any thing to worry about people always use cancer to scare you. if your dad feels up to it go int the garden and take a few snaps of him if you dont want to scare him get a friend to take a picture of you and him together! im sure its just a light blurr. we all love our dads and its only natural to worry about the old fellas! if you want to put your mind at rest you can always phone nhs direct. dont worry your self tho x

There have been articles in the papers about cases where a growth in the eye was discovered as a result of this effect on a photo, but it might just be a reflection - I'd have thought it was worth a visit to the doc's, just in case.

It's simply that the light reflect on your dad's eye when u took the photo. It's nothing wrong with your camera.

I took a picture of some people in church the other week and the same thing happened to me. They all looked like they were possessed. Its to do with the flash and lighting.

Sometimes it's just reflection... Did you take the picture at night? It could be because of the "red-eye" phenomenon. Do refer to the link below for the explanation! =)
