I noticed that from the 80's mor and more Good looking poeple have decided to hide their legs. Very few women will wear leotards and work out breifs for the gym or other physical activities. Most of the time when I ask about bringing back leotards(see my other questions) that are very comfortable and cool and versitile. most people balk at that. Also for men it seems taboo to wear a speedo at the beach and I am noticing that womens swim wear are getting bigger I am seeing girls wear shorts and now some sort or skirted swim wear...Wasn't that what they wore back in the 30-40's? I find we are taking a step back not forward. I can Unstand no one wanting to see the over weight people with bad legs showing off but again the GOOD looking people are all shy. Would it be too much to ask to bring back shorter fashions?

Please don't give me any answers on how you won't wear less because you don't have the body for it

To answer the question why I want to know? It's because I find that when you have it show it! and I don't understand all the hideing of ones body.

i think that partly this is b/c americans are getting fatter and fatter and, therefore, more uncomfortable with their bodies. I think this creates a culture of dis-ease with the human form.

As for men, I think there is a lot of pop culture emphasis on penis size and that makes them afraid to wear anything that might show that they even have one.

It does seem like we are taking a step backwards. I've been on a swim team all my life, yet I've never worn speedos expcet for SOME swim meets. It's amazing the bad reaction you get from people from wearing speedos even on swim meets. I have a washboard stomach, and swimmer's built of 10 years of swimming, yet I can't wear speedos. I wish I could, the few times I've worn speedos they made me feel so comfortable.

again i agree with you 100%
I am a straight guy who wears speedos and i love it. if you have the body for it wear whatever you want.
women's swimwear is horrible anymore, i guess it is whatever you feel comfortable in. If you have the body wear the leotard, wear the skimpy bikini....
great question

It's because the woman's leotards are very difficult to get on. I should know...truth or dare is evil. And the seams are itchy.
