Hi there,

I only eat eggs a maximum of 3 days after the expiration date passed. I usually keep them in the fridge at really low temperatures that's why I consider that eating them is "safe". The eggs that you have are old enough, just through them away. Eggs are cheap, buy some fresh ones. You'll save more money by buying them than by paying a visit to your doctor if you get sick.

I always eat eggs that are long past their "use by" date. Sometimes I can't use them faster than that!

They are most likely fine. I have used eggs that were more than a month old and they were fine. A bad egg is easy to spot. It will stink to high heaven and there will be no question whatsoever if it's good or bad.

I cook a lot and I am a personal chef. I am very sure the eggs are fine to eat.

Did you keep them in their carton in the refrigerator? If so they are safe. In fact they will be safe to eat for at least a month after the date. and may last under proper conditions three months. If you hard cook these eggs they will be easier to peel than fresher eggs

Eggs are something you should NOT mess with. Toss on the use-by date - $1 is not worth 3 weeks of cramps and diareaha from botulism .

if you have them in your refridge and they are due or past due, I wouldn't have a problem eating them. As long as you have kept them refridgarated.

If you are in the store and see it is close or past , then dig into the back of the case and get fresher eggs. They always load eggs from the back of the cart pushing the older ones forward.

I eat eggs past the expiration date. As long as it smells and looks OK when you crack it. It has never hurt me.

Do they say "use by" or "sell by"? It's usually a sell by date, and you can eat them for up to 3 weeks after that.

I think if their bad you will smell them, and also they just sink when you crack them. Some stores sell out of date eggs so I don't think it will kill you, but don't take my word for it LOL
