Hi Mountu69......First of all you need to ask yourself "how much do I really like/love this guy" You already know that his job which is the Navy will take him away from his loved ones quite often but you already knew this right? Ok....my grandmother once told me..."it takes a special women to love a man that's in the military or a truck driver"...lol it may sound stupid but if you look at this realistically she's right. A military man can be away from his loved ones 75% in his career unless he has a desk job. A truck driver is always on the go running from one city to another or from one state to another depending what he is hauling. You as the woman must decide now if you can handle being alone alot without your man being around you 24/7. I know because my husband was in the military. If you become a wife of a military personel you will need to have patience and understanding, self reliant and most of all respect for his job. If you can't, then I would suggest not to persue this relationship but still remain good friends. If you really love this guy then you need to have strength for him as well as yourself when he has to leave for long periods at a time. My dad was in the Navy so I know as a military brat that it takes alot of patience. My mother was that kind of a person and their marriage lasted for over 50 yrs until my dad passed a yr ago. I wish you well on your decision but just remember that it takes alot of love, patience, and understanding to be involved with someone in the military. Good luck! have a blessed day.

Okay that really depends on where you are in LIFE right now.
If you are in school. Then keep him. That is perfect!
Focus on school and "get'er done!" Then when you finish, then focus on what the next step is in your life plan.

I knew I didn't want to marry and have kids till my 30's. So I dated all types of guys and told them, I really enjoy being with you and lets get it clear, my plan is college, career, men and marriage then family. There is not a change in that plan, so if you don't like it, then you need to find another gal.

Guess what? I'm a very happy wife and mother now @ 41!

If you love him, then you know what you should do. Ask yourself if you love him or not.
