green cards for their families and eventual citizenships--point is they were Mexican citizens when they died. Maybe the info is not available..........

I respect ALL opinions. They all help to paint the big picture, informative in a way. In the beginning the media covered their funerals on both sides, but that stopped abruptly.

I don't know that information off hand... and as someone already pointed out... serving in the military WOULD have given them legal-resident status (green card).

But I respect those who do serve... no matter their country of origin... in the US Military.

if you mean trying to get citizenship, then i think the number may not be that high, now the real question should be, how many off spring of illegal immigrants have died in iraq, or served, you may find the number to be quite high on both answers.

none. you must already have the green card to enlist in the US military. Military service has ZERO impact on aquiring a green card for family members.
