Is it not the American Eagle?

During the Cold War it was certainly always referred to as such.

I just looked this up:

Russian Bear
American Eagle
British Bulldog
Chinese Dragon

The Western European powers by and large don't seem to have been referred to in this manner - maybe this is because NATO (at least after 1948) was seen as headed by the USA?

The Polish, Austrian, Hungarians, and Romans also used Eagles as mascots or imperial symbols - what's your point??? It's a popular symbol of power.

. . . And the Nazis wore blue or green uniforms. And they were mostly caucasian. And they were techologically advanced. And they used tanks, subarines, and airplanes. GASP!!! Just like us.

US soldiers MUST be oppressive fascists just like the Nazis. It only makes sense. Perfect logic.
