Check with your local beauty salon. A good beautician should assess your hair, the quality and make recommendations to you. You may want to try reading Essence magazine, as well, they always have good tips on hair products and beauticians.

honestly, braid it and keep it close to your head and well conditioned. The summertime, hair grows REAL fast, so use that time to make your style simple and braid the natural hair only, (no weave or glues) and call it good for three months. AND it will be much longer in the Fall, get a perm and lots of good hair products and watch it.

I would take that time spent "doing" hair and getting braids for saving some money to get better quality hair care products.

Invest in good curlers and a real Sit IN hair dryer for the house (300-500 dollars-used is okay). SO you can wash and set your hair at home, That will save you tons of money at the beauty shop. That Air dry is some much better for delicate hair and it allows you some relax time. I have MINE in the bathroom Closet-Yes really, and everyone knows if Momma is in the closet, you Don't talk to me. I do my nails and read a magazine while I Get my "texas hair" on!

Sometimes on Saturday, I have a girlfriend come over for morning coffee 7am or so and we Trade out, we do her's first and mine second. Its more causual at home. I have a choice to use the office, yet, I don't want to get dressed....LOL...I wish I was kidding. Not its my job there, at home its just love.
