It will not cause more zits. In my experience it actually really helps. I know this because we used chlorine in our pool, my face was always so much clearer when I had spent time in the pool. Don't worry about it, it can only help.

I used to swim and it was horrible, the chlorine made my skin extremely dry. It might help you out with your acne, but it's a very unpleasant thing.
