Macaroni and cheese is good. It has calcium and protein and grains. And you can add vegetables too.

Here is a picture of ingredients. Use only half of that butter if you only cook one box. Click on the blue words:

Also you add meat if you want. Like chopped up hotdogs. Or fried hamburger.

Use more than one box of macaroni and cheese if you need to feed more than two kids or if you need to feed adults too.

and then having cookies later is good. maybe oatmeal cookies.

Low Fat Oatmeal Cookie Recipe:

1 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Shortening
1/4 c Applesauce
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 Egg
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/3 c Oats
1/2 c Raisins

Preheat oven to 375. Lightly spray cookie sheet with non stick spray. In large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt (if you don't have both soda and powder, then you can use 1 1/2 teaspoon of either). In a separate bowl, whisk together shortening, applesauce, sugars, egg and vanilla until shortening breaks into pea sized pieces. Add flour mixture to applesauce mixture. Mix well. Fold in oats and raisins (you don't have to use raisins). Drop rounded tsp onto cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes. 60 calories and 1 gram of fat plus apples and oatmeal<

This is so simple and kids love it I call it American style Spanish rice.
1st dice/slice/ground you're favorite meat (I use bacon) about 2 cups worth depends on how meaty you want it.
2nd dice 1 large onion and cook with the meat
3rd when everything is cooked drain off excess grease
And add a bottle I use 64oz Spicy V8 (no need for extra spices then) bring to a boil then add equivalent amount of Instant Rice, Sometimes I add a large can of chili beans depending on my mood. Put a lid on it remove from heat and let sit till rive is done 5 Minn and poof a meal in its self or a side dish for other stuff. Whole time to cook is about 15 Minn. very fast and filling. Oh yeah tasty too...

Make mac and cheese (such as kraft dinner) and add a tin of flakes of ham or chicken.
Simple and easy.
