my 5 yr old daughter wets her pants and she does it for attention i took herto the docter she has no bladder problem and is perfectly healhy what shoul i do should i punish her

yes because often she says o mummy im doing a weewee

yes she is potty trained and she doesnt do it school mine and my husbands relationship is strong and nothing weirdd has happened reacently

Tell her that she needs to tell you she has to go potty, do not wet in your pants. Tell her if she keeps peeing her pants your gonna put baby diapers on her again. Maybe that will stop her from wetting herself. Maybe you should let her stay in the wet underwear for a little while, so she won't like how it feels and she will realize that you aren't going to change her as soon as she wets herself that she needs to go peeps in the potty.

punishing her is a BAD idea, and you cant have a deep and meaningful conversation with a 5 year old as some other idiot suggested.

Exactly.

Its never just because the five year old is a self absorbed attention seeking monster. Theres a reason for her wanting attention.
either, you dont give enough, or give her the wrong type, or she is stressed for some other reason.

what do you usually do when she does it? make a fuss? if so, STOP making a fuss. either let her sit in it for a few minutes and say nothing, or clean it right away, quickly and without saying anything. let her know that she wont get attention when she does it.. not by telling her (because that is actually giving her attention) but by showing her.
try giving her attention when she ISNT seeking it.... if she feels like you are paying enough attention to her, she wont need to wet her pants to get it from you.

if this doesnt work, and you are appropriate in how and when you spend time with your daughter, then there is probably another stress related problem. check her sleep, her food, her pay time, and other kids and adults that spend time with her.

You do mean that she just does it when she is awake? My son did that. He would pee on his bedsheets, comforter, down the airvents, carpet. But he is a boy and has ADHD. If your little girl doesn't have ADHD and you think she is doing it on purpose then you tell her that if she insists on doing it in her panties then she will be responsible for cleaning it up. Explain to her that she will change herself. Clean the mess and put the dirty stuff in the machine. This teaches them about consequences and responsibility. Just make sure you follow through and do not overreact, say it matter of fact. Some kids do thrive on negative attention. She will take a hissy fit when it happens and you do not help her but stand your ground and when she is ready and calm help her to clean up etc and explain to her again why it is wrong and that if she does it again you will do the same thing. It is tough but it will work. This advice was given to me by professionals for our son.

I had this problem with my daughter,the Dr. said everything was fine,nothing wrong. I seen a segment on TV on the subject and tried the recommendations...Make her hold it until she can't stand it any longer. Your daughter might have a smaller than normal bladder. My daughter did and the doc didn't know. Didn't take too long and her bladder stretched out and everything was fine.

if u do then wen she pees then just don't pay attention.
she will get the clue
she won't like walking around wet.
if it still continues then just tell her that its not getting any attention
its just getting u mad
maybe she is doing it because she dosn't hav yr time

You should try talking to her. Tell her that there are other ways to get your attention besides doing that.

When i was younger, i did that too. But it was because my dad was living with us. He was emotionally and physically abusive. I was afraid of him. After he left, i was fine.

Make sure that there is nothing wrong with your daughter similar to this.

Oh yea, and when she goes to the bathroom, besure to give her attention...and a lot of it!

my little sis does that

my mom makes her sit in the wet pants for a while

my mom only punishes her though whe she says "oh mommy im going to pee in my pants" then she gets a tap on thehand or butt and a firm NO peeing in you pants on purpose is naughtey but if its an acient she cleans her up andsays dont worry darling
pull ups might help or make her clean her self up

my son is 4 and does this only at home when he doesnt get his way . so im thinking its for attention and get you on the softer side of the situation.

the question i got for you is when does this happens? happens everyday? my son also pee's on himself when he is distracted playing a video game or when i pull him away form the computer to go to sleep.

On your profile you talk about spanking a lot, most of your questions and answers are about spanking, your daughter may be picking up on your fetish and reacting to it. Try therapy and deal with your obsession with spanking children. Try talking about it less.
Children wet themselves from distress. All you can talk about is punishment. Your behaviour is not appropriate to the situation.

Maybe you should put on pull-ups for awhile and see how it goes? I mean if you're saying that she wets herself for attention and if you're getting tired of changing pants I'd suggest you buy pull-ups and see how it goes from there.
