I think anyone who holds anger in their hearts regardless of their religion can be hateful. I guess I wouldn't necessarily blame the religion as much as the human being who is acting hateful. I don't think any basic message you take from religion is about hate, people turn it into that though and it's sad and frightening.
That's why I decided to study Buddhism instead of continuuing to follow a relgion that was (personally) fueling my angry feelings at others who did not believe the same as I. Namaste.

Not sure about the most love, but Christianity shows the most hate throughout our history.
With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

If I were to base my opinion by strictly what I have witnessed on this forum, I would say Christianity shows the most hatred and the non- mainstream religions show more love.
From what I have witnessed in the real world...all groups have their zealots and venom spitters. No one group is exempt.
There are many people that claim to what they are not and this adds to the confusion.

Only a man with true vision can answer that good one: Just forget about these organized {CULTS} if you will and concentrate more on the "HOLYBOOKS" that were written long before we all evolved to this point. A man with a very humble heART, wiil always show the greatest love toward his enemies as well as his long-time friends. However, a woman who as already given up on her {HEAVENLYFATHER} will soon learn to hate everyone and everything in her path. My, child, whenever you are dealt a wicked hand, always remember that the "HIDDEN-ONE" is holding your other hand very tight.

In the truth, this world and everything there is belongs to One God. That religion is Islam, from Adam to Muhammed (peace be upon them). That is Islam, because it has God's laws Mankind and Jinn. People can make up a religion and give much love, but it isn't the truth. Islam is only truth there is, whether you believe it or not!

Too much of anything is a bad thing. The problem is fundamentalism. When people get so wrapped up in their religion that that is all the think about.

It's not about religion. It's about individuals using religion to justify their own ignorant mindset. If they get enough idiots to follow them, it makes the religion or sect look nothing like it was meant to.
