i have taken the wall paper off my bathroom wall but the plaster is not so smooth, i would like to give it a skim, can i skim over the current plaster or do i need to prep it first....thanks

I would recommend to remove as much of the glue as possible before doing anything. Sand it, scrap it whatever you need to do. If you leave the glue on it might crack the plaster or make it separate etc. After that I don't see a problem with just going over it with the new plaster. You may not even need to replaster once you take all the glue off, just patch it up.
