pivate, doing some brig time, and getting kicked out of the Corps. this wasnt in my platoon but in another, my senior drill instructor called me a disgrace to the marine corps. this tag followed me trhoughout my whole enlistment which i think should have been kept private. i wonder if i could take some legal action. well anyway, i was wondering is getting an abusive drill instructor out of the drill field considered a "disgrace"? even a "disgrace" to the marine corps? every unit i went to i wasnt trusted

And with all the other BS posts you have made - are we supposed to believe this?

Depends on the circumstance... If a drill instructor was for instance selling candy and cell phones to privates to make a buck or recklessly correcting them ie: punching in the face instead of putting him through constructive yet beneficial training like pushups and running to teach a lesson you did the right thing. If that DI was kicked out of the corps he was doing something wrong and against the lawful orders and training he was supposed to uphold and he was the disgrace. Usually BS or baby complaints aren't heard or respected so I would assume your actions were correct and honorable. Character is doing the right thing even when nobodys watching obviously that drill instructor lost sight of the right thing when his superiors weren't around. You'll find your not alone with your good intentions good luck finding like minded servicemen who wont turn their back on you for speaking up when others hide behind blind allegiances.

If he was busted down to private, held in the brig and got kicked out, then they were looking for something to get him out. You just happen to tell the truth when asked. Semper Fi and all that but when you see a DI isnt upholding what the honor and tradition of the Corps is all about then its time for him to go. You did right. And thats all that counts.

In life we often pay for doing the right thing.

All organizations are like that, there is a drive to protect the organization. But I think you are right, that it should have been kept private.
It probably was kept private officially, but you said the guy is still in. thats where the venom is coming from.
The Corp , a company or a country is only as good as its individuals. If the court mashall thought it was serious enough to bust him that should be good enough. Did you get a gag order or are you allowed to explain your side to people?

I think that it was great that you said something. My husband is a Marine so I know what you are talking about. I think that more people should stand up for themselves and others and say something about the way DI's treat recruits. Good for you.

If you were in the Army it wouldnt have been, but its the Corps. You served in the Marines, I wouldnt say your a discrace; but you should have kept your mouth shut.
