Yes I have been before. He was really cocky but wow he would blow me away with his smile and his eyes. Luckliy I got over it and never dated him. Turns out every girl he was ever involved with he cheated on. Glad I never gave the loser a chance. It's just the bad boy image that I was attracted to. Not really him at all.

Beyond his physical attractiveness, you may also be attracted to the "bad boy" image.
I don't want to stereotype all women, but some women seem to be attracted to guys who are cocky or a bit of a jerk.
Nice guys usually don't get the attention of some women until after the women have been hurt by the bad guys. Also, once women are more mature and looking for a guy to marry they normally don't choose the immature bad guy.
In your case this jerk you are attracted to just may be a good looking guy to you. Jerks can be handsome just like nice guys can.
Whatever you do, don't get involved with this jerk because you will regret it. Even if you don't stay with your current boyfriend, don't date the jerk.

Often people are attracted to a physical characteristic about a person, especially when they say nothing. In Mark Twain's words, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." Nothing's wrong with that; sometimes that hate might be a little pang of envy too -- we often complain about people more successful than we are and ascribe personality characteristics to them which "make" us dislike them. But inside we'd like to be a little more . . . I'm thinking in your case with this guy, outgoing and risk-taking. Cocky and a total jerk he may be, but you can't say he's not sure of who he is. Keep in mind it's not the person themselves we hate most often but rather something about them.

Well, I sorta have. I used to like this guy called Justin in my class and I still like him a bit. He's not good-looking but I've spent most of time sitting by him (Our seats are arranged) so I sorta got used to it and turned up liking him. He's pretty popular and sometimes, he can get really jerky. And then, my seats changed and I started hanging out with this guy called Johnathan. He's not very good-looking but I just seemed attracted to him. It's really hard to decide who to like. But one thing's for sure, I'm not dating until I'm in University.

Yep, been there! I knew him from primary school and all through high school, we used to exchange insults on an almost daily basis. When we got out of high school we ended up getting together... best sex ever! All the years of hating each other and the pent-up frustration..... oooh... but you're too young to be thinking about those things... ignore the last bit there.....

I don't hate people. But there was this extremely annoying, Mr. Know It All, and arrogant guy who I found so attractive and it sucked.

No - But, I did have a romantic dream about someone I hate, and it disgusted me something awful the following day. Was a little difficult to get over.... But did give me something to laugh to myself about each time I ran into him thereafter.

Dear Molly this is a thing women do a lot then they find their lives are destroyed and ask for help here. Find the guy that is right for you not the guy that is hot for all the ladies. Find a guy that wants only you. Do not look for one night stands unless you are practicing to be prostitute

Even if he is a jerk, and you wouldn't date him, surely by asking the question you have, shows you must like him a bit, and would go out for a date, if your mates didn't read this yahoo answers...
