He could have sent 10,000 angels to take Him off the cross, but Jesus had to die to pay the price for our sins. He gave Himself willingly.....Like Aslan in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. He offered himself in a traitor's place. We being the traitor's to God's law.

God sent is Son for the purpose of being the supreme sacrifice for our sin. It was love of man that held Jesus to the cross and that same love kept God from stopping it. Animal sacrifice was temperal and was never meant to be "the" sacrifice. Thank God He loved us so much he allowed this to happen. The Bible says the sky turned dark at the moment of Jesus' death, I believe God stood it as long as He could and then had to look away.

No offense, thankful for a REAL question. We do not know if God helped Jesus when he was nailed to the cross...more than likely he would have been with his son. The crucifixtion and events before and after, were destined to happen. God would be with any of us to see us through such things.

because jesus was not a son of god nor god and because jesus was a person just like anybody else, he was a prophet ..he had preached to people
people that did not belive him, did that to him...scence all prophets(pbu) had the word of god with them the book jesus had the non belivers took and changed the words around and put stuff in that would be more like them.... the situation is same as ..if you go out and start preaching about something new and some people get intrested in it ..they want to know more.. but the people that dont they would start yelling and would start getting violent.

It was part of God's plan for you and me. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Jesus paid for our sins by dying on the cross. All we have to do is accept him.

u didnt use any words which offended me.....
......If Jesus didnt die on the cross for our sins, we would each have to die induvidually in the name of God , in order to go to heaven.
Seeing as Jesus is the same as God (for more info look for "the trinity" on www.wikipedia.org) Jesus sacrificed Himself. So if God was to help Jesus, God would go against his own wishes......confusing, i know. If u really want to understand, try praying and ask God urself, thats what i did and now i get the whole God, Jesus, Holy Spirit thing.

When jesus was being nailed to the cross God didn't help because he was there. God didn't help Jesus because God planned and knew what was happening. That was how God showed to us that he loves us and we don't have to die. Jesus died for our sins, and it was a sign of great love.

God was killing God and it was God's plan to get victory over Satan for us. God is an orderly God. God said without the shedding of blood there is no remission (pardon) of sins. For that reason all the animal blood was shed for men and women so their sins could be covered. However, when God's blood was shed in His Son Jesus, God's blood was shed once and for all time because God is sinless and God said innocent blood should not be shed. God shed the animal blood in the beginning to cover Adam and Eve's sin of nakedness. God shed His Son's blood in the end to take away the sin by belief in His Son.

Without Jesus atonement--- none of us could be saved! Jesus gave his life to atone for our sins. When Jesus was hanging on the cross he said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." God did not nail Jesus to the cross, the people nailed him to the cross. God can not intervene in all the wrongs done by humans in this world. It would defeat the whole purpose for us to even be here. It makes my heart sad when people don't understand that Jesus gave his life for them, me,us and you. Jesus did not want God to "help" or "save" him. Jesus gave his life for you- so you- being imperfect and with sin could have the opportunity to repent and live with them again. It was the greatest gift ever given to ALL humanity. Jesus could have helped himself- if he could heal lepers and give the blind their sight and bring the dead back to life.. he surely could have prevented himself from hanging on the cross. BUT He died for our sins. Because he loved us. He did it for us.

The plan of salvation was to be carried out- and Jesus IS God, He became flesh to die and suffer for our sins, then He defeated death by being raised on the 3rd day-- and is ALIVE! (Mark 16)
This is the whole meaning of life--is through Jesus Christ because we have all sinned against God- Romans 3:23 and we all need forgiveness and salvation through Jesus (John 14:6)
And the only way to be forgiven is through the shedding of blood, as they did in the OT, by sacrificing animals for sin atonement but Jesus was our ONE sacrifice for sins....His blood was shed to cover a multitude of sins.
Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Jesus is the only way to heaven, the only way to be redeemed is through believing in Him,and repenting of sin--confessing to Him and believing with all your heart that he was raised from the dead, that He is Lord (Romans 10)
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
