No, I kind of like living. I wouldn't want to die even on a temporary basis. Besides, if you can ressurect the dead, no one would ever go to the afterlife again.

As an atheist, I gotta say no. When you're dead, you're dead. I know that there's no afterlife just as much as a Christian knows that there is an afterlife.
As silly as the idea of an afterlife in heaven appears to be to me, doesn't make it wrong for anyone else to believe in.

What an absurd question!
I already know that there is no afterlife. Why would I bother to do such a stupid thiing? Only someone who questions the possible veracity of religion would consider it. I'm not one of those people.

No. It wouldn't be necessary. After all, I'm going to die anyway, so why speed up the process?
And if resurrection is indeed feasible, then all I need to do is leave an automatic message: "Sorry, can't return your call until after my resurrection, which is scheduled for Monday morning. In the meantime, please press zero for immediate assistance."

No, I'm more confident that there's no afterlife than I could ever be in any medical technology.

The technology of the world can never surpass the spirituality of man if that man believes.

Fascinating question. Yeah, I would do this but only if I was already dying from domething - just in case it fails.
I am sure that some theists would want to do this too.

Then science would have truly replaced any need for God! Immortality would be in human hands. So this begs the question why bother we'd be more powerful than the Christian sky pixie ever was in fiction!

Not really. I have had a general anaesthetic and I have no reason at all to suppose that being dead will be any different to that, except that it's permanent.

This would be a life machine. All the atheists who claim to be so much smarter than everyone else should build one. They would find that they couldn't.
