some people do... Also, some people think that doctor's are miracle workers and can cure whatever ails them with a pill.. fact of the matter is that people have to use common sense and be pro-active in the healthcare which they receive.

doctors are not God

they don't have the answer to everything

they make mistakes, just everybody else...

people should understand this.

Well I suppose it's better that than people not going to the doctors at all - they are, after all, the experts. They know more than us about health and medicine. And sure they're going to get it wrong once in a while, but isn't it better that 999 out of 1000 people are cured by doctors as opposed to 0 out of 1000?

sounds like you;ve got issues, buddy!! What happened to make you seem bitter?
I've been in hospitals for 30 years, and all in all, I've grown to respect doctors even more. The professionalism, knowledge, and dedication is tremendous. I've seen them save lives of people that had literally very little chance of surviving.
Of course, they are human, and will occasionally mis-diagnose. Are you perfect? Neither are they all the time. But, they never want to make an error, no one in the medical field does. So, medicine is not fallible, it's not an exact science. Sometimes the error stems from the patients themselves, not being totally honest with their symptoms. They over rate or under rate their symptoms. Doctors' can't diagnose correctly if people with hold symptoms, and if they trump them up to make them seem sicker, they are difficult to figure out too. Then comes the patient who abuses medicine, wants to be sick, wants miracle cures, wants to live their life in drug induced haze, expects NO pain.
Patients have to want to help themselves. People in the health care field have to maintain their professionalism, whether housekeepers, nurses, respiratory, xray. They all vent frustrations and feelings. It should be kept at work! Your question is odd, makes me wonder what got you pissed off?

Clearly it depends on the Doc. As one of my mentors used to say: In Med School, the one that finishes 1st in the class and the one that finishes last in the class, are still both called Doctor!

Yes, too much in man, and not enough in God... And themselves.
