I quit somking using the patch two years ago. I got a headache and the urge to smoke but you just gotta be strong. Believe me--It's working. If your willpower is strong enough try and go with out it for a few hours and see how bad your headache is or how nasty your attitude is. I would occasionally forget to put it on and EVERYONE around me could tell. When you are wearing it - it doesn't seem like its working. Remove it for a while and you can DEFINATELY tell it is. The package also says that you may need to remove it when you sleep because it may cause night terrors. I, on the other hand, was the opposite. If I took it off before I went to bed I would have these HORRIFICLY violent dreams!! HORRIFIC is not an understatement. So I just slept with mine on and changed it when I woke up.
THE PATCH REALLY DOES WORK IF YOU LET IT!!!
I know it is a HARD habit to quit!
Hang in there and good luck!!

It shouldn't take long to get over the craving. It's all mental. They could go away tomorrow or take a couple more days. It's really up to you. If you can stop smoking for 3 or 4 days then you have mastered the hardest part - the commitment to be smoke free! I quit smoking and it was a breeze. After a few months I was on vacation visiting a friend. Okay I'll just smoke while I am out here - then stop before I leave. MISTAKE! It's totally mental. I knew it then and I know it now. The issue is I have yet to make the commitment again. Stay with it and don't let anything stress you out. Peace and enjoy the financial savings, healthy lungs, etc.

You may have your 'headache' because the 'dosage' of the patches you are using is 'too low' and you aren't getting enough 'nicotine' in your system through them ... and that 'craving' you have for a cigarette is another 'indicator' but if you 'look at what you are doing' when you have this 'craving' the most, you should be able to tell whether it is the 'nicotine habit' that is causing it, or that you 'smoked' at certain times during the day, and it's one of those 'times.' Try going to the next higher 'dosage' on your patches, and then 'write down' what you were doing whenever you 'crave a cigarette' and say something like 'I am NOT going to smoke any more. I value my good health, and stopping smoking is going to make me much healthier.' Do this EVERY TIME you smoke, and you'll soon 'substitute the 'good habit of writing my feelings down' for the 'bad habit of smoking.' Good luck!

My Mum used them and she never had a headache. She did feel wierd because of the patch (what it does i do not know). I think maybe you should not take any medicines just incase it reacts with the chemicals of the patch and give it another while. if it doesnt go away - take off the patch...
I am 14 but I do biology so I know my medical stuff :)
