Don't worry, it's the sun spots again, these happen every so may hundreds of years and is a natural phenomenon. We have to adjust.

Re: Judas' answer: the core samples prove only that the they were laid down successively, not how long it took for the layers to form. They base their assumptions on UNIFORMITARIANISM, the concept that all layers were formed at a similar rate: therefore they assume it took millions of years. Try:

for the other side of the argument. P.S. The temperature in Britain in the 6th Century AD was actually SIX degrees Celsius (42.8F) warmer than it is nowadays. They know because of the grapevines that were grown here: yet these scaremongers are worried about a four degrees Celsius (39.2F) rise causing greenwood in the Amazon to spontaneously ignite (as shown on a typically alarmist BBC Global Warming documentary).

The earth is billions of years old, of that there is no doubt. As far as global warming, the earth has gone through and will go through cycles of heating and cooling. Scores of evidence confirm this fact. The earth seems to be entering into one of those warm cycles. Now could the actions of man be accelerating or intensifying the effects? Sure. But could man be causing or on the other hand could man prevent the natural cycles from occurring? No. That is not to say that we should be doing all we can to wean ourselves away from fossil fuels to other alternative and cleaner energy sources.

I think the concept of Global Warming is overblown. Scientific research also shows that our planets in the solar system are also getting warmer.
The earth have always recycled itself...getting warmer or colder as the creator wills. We will be ok.

How?
Paleo-climate experts know the early climate of the earth by drilling and measuring CO2 and O2 and other gas levels in Ice Cores from Greenland and the Antarctic that go back millions of years.
This proves just the opposite!!

Perhaps we could go back to Simple Science? One BTU, has Ability to Raise ONE "CC" of water, One Degree!
The Earth is covered by 3/4 Water, which contains GAZILLIONS "CC's" of water!
HOW much Global Warming would it take to Raise the Temperature, One Degree? ? ?
Besides in the 2006 Hurricane Season, SCIENCE PREDICTED HOW MANY STORMS? 12!
How many did we have? NONE!
Global Means ALL OVER THE GLOBE! i.e. WORLDWIDE!
Global Warming is Al Gore's term for ' I WANT TO BE PRESIDENT!'
Thanks, RR
