I drive those kinds of distances a lot.
Get a several good nights sleep before the trip.
Stop every 2 hours and take a walk. Take a nap every four hours. Dont wait unti you get tired because you wont know. Trust me on this one.
DONT stare at the white lines in the road.
Dont play music too loud.
Get someone talkative next to you. If you do feel drowsey and cant stop then tell them to start asking questions.
Eat lightly and drink water. If coffee helps then small amounts is fine.
It will take you 2 days to fully 'recover' from a drive like that.
Its a tough drive even in a good 'driver's' car. Good luck

Good rule of thumb. The tourist attractions are in the good parts of town. Therefore, you will have no reason to go to the bad parts of town, unless you're lost. Disneyland is a must for families with kids. Give yourself at least 2 days in the Anaheim area, then you can hit Knott's and some of the other attractions down OC way. Most people want to see Hollywood. You should just to imagine Hollywood during it's glory years. Do: Just get good maps, (not online maps), fill up the tank, and make sure you know where you're going. Do: spend all you money here. Do: Have a great time and come back soon.

The bad thing about Monster and most other Energy Drinks on the market is that they contain very high amounts of sugar and caffeine, which are bad for you.
If you are concerned about your health, you should consider an alternative. I drink an Energy Drink that is HEALTHY, works in 10-15 minutes after you drink it, lasts for several hours, and is much less expensive than most other Energy Drinks.
You can find them at www.carlshealthhelp.com/energy

your body is only good to go for a certain amount of time. Yes you could take vitamins or adrenaline pills but its not healthy. My advice to you is have someone with you to help you drive...If thats not possible then just use your better judgement and pull over to catch some zzzzs. Dont push yourself though...it can be really dangerous. Be careful.

Candy- suckers, gum, chocolate, anything sweet. It helps me every time. Sour stuff helps a lot too. Just buy a lot and don't wait for the flavor to run out, or it won't work.

One trick that has always worked for me, in addition to anything else you try, is BUBBLE GUM! Buy a ton of it and keep popping in pieces one after another, as soon as the taste and sweetness start to wear off (or you can also get a sugar-free kind). Blow bubbles as big as you can and pop your gum freely-----------it does help to keep you awake!
