How long can a USAF GI be assign to a specific base?

I have a friend who is assign in Italy, and I was wondering if that assignation is for as long as she completes her service. she´s enlisted, and what does it need for her to change her location.

anywhere from 3-5 years, depending on the billet itself.

it is entirely possibel to complete one's initial term of service at one location after training.

I would assume she is at Aviano.
That is a 2 year assignment for a single person, and a three year assignment for a family.
